Aims & Scope

The Journal of Sustainable Nanomaterials and Laser Applications (JSNLA) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that aims to provide a comprehensive platform for cutting-edge research in the field of sustainable nanomaterials and their applications in laser technology. This journal will serve as a hub for researchers, engineers, and practitioners interested in the development of advanced nanomaterials, their synthesis via femtosecond and picosecond laser ablation, and their integration into sustainable applications such as energy production, water treatment, and environmental remediation.

The journal focuses on the following key topics:

1. Nanomaterial Synthesis: Methods for the fabrication of nanoparticles, nanostructures, and nanocomposites, with an emphasis on laser-based techniques including ultrafast laser ablation, laser fragmentation, and laser-induced colloidal chemistry.

2. Nanomaterial Characterization: Advances in characterization techniques such as electron microscopy, spectroscopy, and computational modeling for understanding the structure-property relationships of nanomaterials.

3. Sustainable Applications: Applications of nanomaterials in environmental protection, clean energy, and other sustainable technologies. Topics include photocatalysis, electrochemical energy storage, CO2 reduction, water purification, and waste remediation.

4. Material Science and Innovation: Development of novel materials that can address current global challenges, focusing on green and cost-effective synthesis strategies, lifecycle analysis, and the environmental impact of nanoparticle production and application.

5. Multiscale Modeling: Atomistic simulations and modeling techniques to predict material behaviors at various scales and optimize the design and performance of nanomaterials.

6. Nanomaterials in Health and Safety: Safe-by-design approaches for nanoparticle synthesis and application, and regulatory considerations in the development of nanomaterials for real-world applications.

JSNLA will feature original research articles, reviews, and communications, as well as contributions from multidisciplinary fields, with an emphasis on emerging technologies that combine nanomaterials with laser science to address critical societal and environmental issues.
